The Olympic Games were a fantastic event that happened in London this summer-you couldn’t miss it if you tried. As well as Great Britain, CUHH had a fantastic turnout; we had at least 5 athletes competing for team GB and they inspired us all for the new season ahead. Alistair Brownlee had a great run to finish with a gold medal in the triathlon; Julia Bleasdale did herself and her country proud making the finals of both the 5000 and 10000m; although Emma Pooley finished a fabulous 6th in the womens time trial, she was dissapointed with the result and this shows what an amazing athlete she is. Claire Hallissey finished 57th in the womens marathon in a time of 2.35.39-not too shabby! And Andy Baddeley finished 8th in the semi-finals of the mens 1500m
