Description

Men's Distance: 10.5km

Women's Distance: 5.8km

Every year we participate in a triangular cross-country race against the RAF and Eastern Counties. This year sees our turn to host the race so being a "home" fixture there's no excuse not to race! There'll be a full range of abilities running but I'd really encourage anyone with serious Varsity ambitions to race given it will be a key selection race!

The race is held at the Gog Magog nature reserve just to the south of the city and while you could get away with wearing spikes the course is really very firm (as those on this morning's long run will test testify) and fast so there's not much need.

Timings and transport details can be found on the right hand side.

Even if you can't run then we'd really appreciate your help for a couple of hours marshalling. We only have to host this race once every 3 years but your help is key to ensuring it runs smoothly and we make a good impression! Contact sls56 'at' cam.ac.uk if you're able to help out. It would be much appreciated.

Please note that unlike with college league races you need to be a fully paid up member to race for the university. Membership is £18 for the year or £45 for 3 years and includes subsidised transport, race entry, accommodation and training camps throughout the year! Contact our junior treasurer Sam Ashcroft sa555 'at' cam.ac.uk for more info!
