Aimi Weightman
#

A self-proclaimed Rock enthusiast, much to the benefit of her degree (yet the detriment of her rock-paper-scissors record), Aimi has blessed the weekly email with the much loved rock of the week column - somehow managing to make something with the name granulite look irresistibly cool. Aimi proved her dedication to the role early, starting us off with the weekly emails about a month before we actually had to, presumably racing to get through all the rocks on her camera roll before her tenure is up. A true injury specialist, I saw Aimi run nearly as much as everyone else did last year despite not setting foot in Cambridge. Gaining valuable experience in injury rehabilitation and cross training, she has plenty to share beyond pictures of minerals, and her time as welfare officer is sure to be marble-ous - let’s just hope her patience doesn’t erode when faced with some of my more dubious email ideas.

Ben Cooper

Ben (John?) is a fab new addition to the Harey committee! He’s an elliptical enthusiast, and an engineer with an ability to write Wise Welfare Words quite eloquently. Despite showing promise and making it to Varsity in Michaelmas, his welfare colleague unfortunately passed onto him the Freshers’ Injury Curse: his ability to run in Lent Term was sadly no better than his ability to eat a burrito. Yet, his commitment to the club has proven to be far fuller than his tortilla - Ben has fully immersed himself in the Harey social scene and even travelled to Cardiff to support BUCS XC whilst injured! Clearly this is an indication that Ben is an elite promoter of welfare. Hopefully he’ll welfare up his hip in time to adhere to his part of a deal, made at the BUCS afterparty, to break a certain 1500m barrier with me… but if not, he’ll at least develop an excellent relationship with the physio and will undoubtedly do a great job in his role regardless.
