Elliot Heath #
Elliot made a name for himself within the club on day 1. Letting all 900 people on the hareys whatsapp chat know of his love for foam rollers and among us.
Since arriving at cambridge elliot has improved enormously cutting almost a minute off of his 5k time. This success has unfortunately not been replicated on the bike after a ‘crash’ this term almost lead to an injury.
On the rare occasion elliot is not running he can be found: glazing nick bester, improving relations with cuac, demolishing big snacks and getting hit on by welsh men aged at least 29. If time allows he will also do his degree in what he describes as ‘penis ball studies’. Maybe if he put more work into physcology and behavioural sciences he’d be able to explain his elite competitive drive and ability to dust everyone on sessions with negligible sleep but for now that remains a mystery.
I am excited to see what he will bring to the social calendar in 2025/26, hopefully including smashing the 60 second barrier for a pint.
Tim Bongaerts #
Tim ’The Dutch Oven’ Bongaerts.
It’s Friday 31st January, the big bucs weekend is just commencing. The coach down to Cardiff is full of many apprehensive Hareys but this isn’t just because of pre-race nerves. Bucs fantasy managers are unsure whether to splash the £4m to bring TimBo into their teams. Rumours begin to circulate that Tim has never previously downed a pint, further
doubts set in. Fast forward 24 hours and TimBo has just chopped his pint in 7 seconds, proving all the sceptics wrong. Not only was this the third fastest time of the day but it was completed while wearing the trademark TimBow three piece suit. Later that night when Timber by Ke$ha came on there was complete pandemonium with Hareys old and young yelling the adapted TimBow lyrics, the chorus echoed far and wide across Cardiff even reaching the far corners of Blackweird fields (or that may have been another Harey I’m unsure). What followed was inevitable and the following morning TimBo was crowned joint champion of the big bucs weekend. An outstanding achievement which will forever live on in Harey folk-lore.
‘The Dutch oven’ is always cooking not just off the track but on it too. Boasting impressive pbs over 800m and 1500m which I am sure will only be further lowered in the coming year.
I’m sure this combination of running ability alongside ability to have fun is going to lead to some brilliant social ideas and I can’t wait to see what Tim will do as social sec.
Jenni Munro #
Jenni Munro is a dedicated member of the club. Being the biggest advocate for Harey training camps and always spreading positive vibes, she is the perfect fit for social sec. Representing Cambridge in the Mob match during her first year at Cambridge, it will be exciting to see how her performances in the mud will develop in the upcoming years, while Jenni will surely make the social side of the club just as strong as the running.
