Max Walk #
Max Walk returns for a second year on the CUHH committee, this time as Webmaster. Max is in the second year of his PhD in Bioinformatics, which, once you remove the bio, might help him maintain a website. He gained invaluable experience last year as Transport Secretary and Vice Captain, which I am sure will prepare him for this new role, despite the positions having nothing in common with Webmaster that I can tell. Prior to coming to Cambridge, Max was an undergraduate at Birmingham (who won zero (0) BUCS XC Women’s Long Race team gold medals this year) and spent much of his youth in such locations as Botswana, Portugal and Belgium. His experience of hotter climates led Max to serve as Cambridge University Athletic Club (CUAC) Warm Weather Training organiser last year, and has been an avid proponent of Harey participation in the trip. Max’s experience of being on both CUHH and CUAC committees will help to strengthen the connection between the two clubs, and to make sure we can compete well together on the track in the summer. During his time in light blue, Max has delivered numerous impressive performances for CUHH in cross country, track and on the road. With plenty more seasons in Cambridge, the future is bright for Max both in the Cambridge vest and behind the desk as Webmaster.
